The future of automotive cybersecurity is in Ann Arbor

Amid the announcement that GM had acquired Cruise, a startup that provides self-driving kits to existing vehicles, GM was also pitching its white hat hacking program to help them identify security gaps in their software. This is a good program to have, and mirrors what the software industry has been doing for years.

SF Motors to invest $10.7 million, create 150 jobs to produce electric vehicles in Ann Arbor region

SF Motors, with support from Ann Arbor SPARK, the Michigan Economic Development Corp. (MEDC), and Pittsfield Township, recently chose the Ann Arbor region for its U.S. research and development operations. The company will invest more than $10.7 million in the project, which will create 150 new jobs.
